As excited as I was to visit Angkor Wat, Bayon came to be my favorite temple we visited. The Bayon is distinctive because of the many stone towers with faces carved on all four sides. We visited Bayon the same day as Angkor Wat and spent so much time at Angkor Wat that by the time we got to Bayon we had to hurry through because our children were in protest.
If you look at the top of the towers you can see the faces.
Rayce nailed the nose-to-nose pic.
We stopped by The Bayon the night before this but didn't go in. It was lit up for the New Year.
This was our last day in Siem Reap and our visit there was all I had hoped it would be and more, I definitely left Cambodia wanting more but very satisfied. What a great country!
