Whew, it's been a crazy couple of weeks and I've fallen behind on blogging while going to the states to find a house for our next adventure. In August we're moving back Stateside and Dan is going to join a dental practice! We are super excited and nervous. Pray for us!
Anyway, back to our Cambodian trip, our second full day there was the hardest day to find a driver. I didn't think it was going to happen but again our wonderful hotel came through with a driver to take us to Ta Prohm. Ta Prohm is sometimes called the Tomb Raider Temple because some of the movie was filmed there. Aside from Angkor Wat this was the temple I most anticipated visiting! I got some awesome photos! The sun was setting so it wasn't as hot as mid day, thank goodness.
Look at this place! It's amazing!!
Jungle has reclaimed this place; they're trees growing literally in the middle of the complex.
This place was just incredible!
Ta Prohm is only 13 kilometers from where we were staying but it took us about an hour and a half to get there with all the traffic! The temples weren't crowded at all but the areas around the temples were packed with Cambodians going to concerts, eating, celebrating the New Year. It was pretty cool to be there during this time but it was crazy crowded. Next up, Ankor Wat and Bayon.
